***WARNING*** THIS POST CONTAINS VENTING***

Sigh,
I've been on Etsy since February and guess how many sales I have under my belt? None, zero, zip, nada. The one that shows is my husband making sure we have Paypal setup right.

Sigh,
I've been working on revamping the store again. I hate this part. Give me some beads to play with and I'm happy. Give me a dead store and vague critiques and I'm frustrated.

Sigh,
Others say don't float your items on white. Others say the color backgrounds are distracting. They say to show off your pieces in you banner. Then it's too fuzzy and soft because you also have to make it readable.

Sigh,
I've deactivated all of my items and am going one by one tweaking descriptions, materials, tags, pics. I've got 24 back up. There is so much more to do. AND ALL I WANT TO DO IS MAKE SOME HALLOWEEN ITEMS AND TRY TO GET AHEAD OF THE CURVE!

Okay, I feel better. Thanks!

  1. I know the feeling huni. I know i have one sale under my belt but it is only a £2.30 item so the cheapest i've got.
So many say one thing and others say another thing and it can all drive you bonkers.
I agree with the Beads, that side of it is so easy and relaxing, the business side is hard and demoralising. Good luck, and i'm glad you love the treasury your featured in xx

Halloween is my favourite time of year, It's the Witches New Year after all (Samhain) Means Summers End.

  2. Hang in there. I am on Artfire and sales are very slow. People just are not buying a lot right now, I think, because of the economy. You have very unique pieces. Perhaps Christmas will help and Tweeting - something I said I'd never do, but guess what!? I am. Still learning the ropes. Thanks for following me, too! Anita

  3. You make awesome stuff! But these things take time. I suggest you try local shows which usually translate to more sales than online ones. Many people still prefer to see jewelry up close before they buy.

An online store may not sell as much but it is really your portfolio of work to showcase what you can do.

  4. But I want it now! (stamping feet) lol! Thanks y'all for bringing me back from "the edge". It's my nature to pick apart something until I'm satisfied. And with Etsy, let's just say I've done what I can do.
